HEARTBURN ETYMOLOGY
Not the stomach disease of course. Inspired by Jack Nicholson and Meryl Streep's 1986 movie HEARTBURN. Heartburn literally means tearing one's heart and putting your soul into fire. It is about heat, burn and the fifth element... LOVE.
HEARTBURN PRODUCTIONS
Heartburn Productions has been active as an independent company for bands with different genre of rock for 2 years. It is a production that organizes an event to promote and encourage bands to show their talents and abilities by performing and playing music. This production helps, promotes and supports filipino rock music industry.
HISTORY
Heartburn Productions started on December 02, 2005 and had their first gig at Nightwish Bar, Adriatico, Manila. The production was owned and being organized by Jaja Villanueva with the help of her friends Andrew of Anathema Prod, Reia of D2R Prod and lead vocalist of jpop inspired band Ethereal Anthem.
In the year 2006, Heartburn Productions had 22 music events venued in different bars around Metro Manila.
In the year 2007, the production got more staffs and friends who helped in the events. It had 33 music events.
There will be more music events and guest bands in this year. ^^
Heartburn Productions continues to strive and help bands to have a comfortable avenue for their talents and to have their exposure. Not just by sharing good music but also by gaining friends and boost their self esteem through friends.

THE RULES
+ First come first serve basis on performance time slot.
+ Bands should meet the requirements.
+ We require bands to bring minimum of 5 guests (depending on the venue).
+ The gig usually starts at 8pm and ends at 3am.
+ Calltime usually starts at 5-6pm.
+ We don't accept walk in bands.
+ We accept any genre of rock.
+ The entrance fee ranges from P80-100 inclusive with a free beer (depending on the venue).
+ The band can play 3-4 songs (it depends on how many bands are in the line up).
+ Guests bands are VIPS (meaning, the production are paying them, or sometimes they are generous enough to play free. They can select their slot without meeting the time slot. They have the chance to play 4-5 songs).
+ We are strict on guesting requirements because what we do in the production in NOT EASY and the money we put during the preparation is not a JOKE.
+ For those who hates us because they think that we made this as a business, well, as a matter of fact, THIS IS A BUSINESS, if you cannot put it in your FEEBLE mind.
