Mano- vocals Deloy- lead guitar Momoi- guitar Miko- bass Zaryo- drums C. Mano Sunico and Momoi Mejorada were highschool pals in Surigao City. To attract girls, these two guys had a great idea of forming a dance troup and it worked! They went off to college in Cebu and realized that male dancers in the Queen City of the South were uncool and made another brillant move and switched to music. they tried to join existing bands but their visions did not match, so they moved on. Mano started to write his own songs all in Bisaya, which was the only language he was fluent in, together with Momoi, formed their own band which did not last either. With this series of unfavorable events enveloping the two pals, the musicians in them was forced into hibernation. After college, Mano worked as a visualizer in a top advertising agency and Momoi, went to Manila and worked as an architect. But just as any unrequitted passion, after years in the corporate world, Mano picked up from where he left off in music and pushed a bit further. He needed Tagalog songs; so he devoured tagalog comics and tabloids, watched TV endlessly and after 6 months, he wrote. Armed with an 11 songs demo, Mano gave it another try. He traveled to Manila and and reunited with Momoi. They went to three major labels, who expressed interest. Mano went back to Cebu Momoi back to buildings buildings, with much hope they waited... and waited. After months without word from any of the three majors they, somehow accepted their fate. December of 2004, Mano met band manager Ann Angala, as she was visiting the city. When she returned to Manila, she received a CD of the band Manomano which blew her mind. A week after, Sony BMG's A and R director Vic Valenciano was in Cebu, Mano went to his hotel and gave him a CD which literally got him on his feet... A year and a half after; through heartaches, pains, changing musicians, grueling hours in the mixing room, sardines and carton beds; with Mano, the vocalist; Momoi on rhythm guitar, joined by Miko on bass; Deloi on lead guitars and Zaryo on drums here is MANOMANO. Manomano's carrier single, "Bigay na bigay", is hot in airwaves with their signature funky groove, melodic chorus and hook peppered lyrics, they've got their listeners smitten. their 11 songs album entitled LADIES FIRST under Sony BMG Music Entertainment is now out in the market.
